CLOUNAGH GUIDES HELP YOUNG CANCER VICTIMS

Mrs, Margaret Mehaffey, local representative for the Northern Ireland Children's Cancer Unit Fund, receives a cheque from top collector Gillian Castles, a member of Clounagh Junior High School Girl Guides. IT'S HIGH FASHION



Clounagh Junior High School in Portadown was established 27 years ago when the original school colours were blue and gold, but gradually the idea of a uniform was discarded. Now new school dress has been unveiled at a fashion show during the school's open day. The new outfits, will be compulsory for first-year students in September. (5 Apr 1985)

The Clounagh Junior High School Speech Day was certainly a memorable occasiopn for 14 year old Wendy Henderson who won three of the main awards - the Gordon Speers Cup for the most promising music student in third year, the Cage Cup for endeavour and participation and the Guide runner-up cup.
