The opening scene of 'The Golden Years' features the students at Trinity College, Dublin. The play, being staged by Clounagh Junior High School, ends its run tonight (Friday) with a performance at 7.30 p.m. Parents have been high in their praise of the staff and pupils. (13 March 1981) |

A Clounagh student is taking part in a national motor racing championship in Peterborough tomorrow (Saturday). Neville McDowell doesn't even have a driver's licence, yet he won the Ulster event last month, breaking all lap records, and setting the race world alight. The cars, however, are of the toy track variety and 14 year old Neville of Ridgeway Park made them whizz round at an average of 2.5 seconds a lap when he entered the competition at McKeown's store in Lurgan.
